The present invention provides a UV-blocking silicone hydrogel composition comprising a hydrophilic silicone macromer, a UV-blocking monomer, a first hydrophilic monomer, a crosslinking agent and a polymerization initiator. The hydrophilic silicone macromer has a structure represented by the general formula of V-L-S-(L′-V′)x, wherein each of V and V′ independently represents an ethylenically polymerizable group, each of L and L′ independently represents a covalent bond or linking group, S is a siloxane group having a chemical structure represented by chemical formulas, and x is 0 or 1. The present invention also provides a silicone contact lens comprising the UV-blocking silicone hydrogel composition. |
