PURPOSE:To make thin the entire display unit easily, by projecting the both ends providing the connections of upper and lower base clipping liquid crystal substance toward different plane direction. CONSTITUTION:The ends 42, 43 of the upper base 31 among two bases clipping the liquid crystal substance is projected from the lower base 32 in plane, and it is connected to external electric circuit with the external connection patterns 44, 45 at the lower surface. Further, the display cell retaining members 33, 34 are pressed with the upper surface of the both ends 46, 47 of the lower base 32 projected in plane manner from the upper base 31 toward different direction (e.g. 90 deg.) from the ends 42, 43 of the upper base, and the display cell is regulated for the position to the movement frame 40. Thus, the height of the members 33 and 34 is less than that of the upper base 31 to make thin the entire display unit. |
