Disclosed are a method, system and recording medium for providing a messenger service capable of providing a user customized template. The method of providing a messenger service, which implements communication between two or more terminals, comprises the steps of: allowing at least one other terminal to participate in a chatting room; providing at least one of a plurality of templates previously stored in a terminal; receiving input from a user so that any one of the provided templates is selected; receiving a text from the user; combining the selected template and the text and displaying the combined template and text; and transmitting the combined template and text to the other terminal participating in the chatting room. |
