The present invention realizes a thin carrier tape to minimize a reel. The package of an electronic component comprises: a carrier tape (22) where a plurality of recessed electronic component storage units (220) having a longitudinal opening formed on one side surface of a base material of a resin material are withdrawn from the other side surface of the base material (22a); and a cover tape (23) attached to one side surface of the carrier tape (22) to block the opening of each electronic component storage unit (220). A thickness dimension T2 of a floor unit of the electronic component storage unit (220) is smaller than the thickness dimension of the base material (22a).
