PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-absorbing resin capable of stably producing a water-absorbing resin having high physical properties with high productivity.SOLUTION: A method for producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water-absorbing resin includes: a polymerization step of polymerizing a monomer aqueous solution containing acrylic acid (salt) as a main component; and a posttreatment step of performing at least a drying step and a surface crosslinking step after the polymerization step. The polymerization step includes a plurality of series of batch polymerization reaction apparatuses. In the plurality of series of batch polymerization reaction apparatuses, a batch polymerization reaction is performed while polymerization start time periods are changed for each of the series, and the plurality of series of products are continuously treated in the same posttreatment apparatus in at least one step included in the posttreatment step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
