PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a signal processing method.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus is used in an image signal transmission system in which a first image data of first resolution is broadcasted as a basic image signal and an expansion image signal for obtaining a second image data of second resolution, which is higher than the first resolution, by reproducing the same in combination with the basic image signal, and which is delivered via a transmission channel different from the basic image signal. The electronic apparatus includes: a first storage section; a second storage section; a control unit; and a reproduction section. The first storage section receives the basic image signal and records the same. The second storage section receives the expansion image signal and records the same. The control unit controls, when the second storage section fails to properly acquire the expansion image signal, to receive and record the expansion image signal at a different timing. The reproduction section reproduces the expansion image signal which is recorded in the second storage section in combination with the basic image signal which is recorded in the first storage section responding to a reproduction instruction of the second image data of the second resolution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
