PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an image so as to obtain target glossiness corresponding to the kind of a recording material and environmental change in printing for outputting a glossy image using a glossing agent.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: glossing agent imparting means such as an image formation unit 1CL imparting a glossing agent such as clear toner CL to a recording material; gloss detecting means 60 of detecting a gloss of a toner image after a fixing process on a recording material; and control means such as a main body control part 200 which controls an imparting amount of the glossing agent based upon target glossiness. The control means allows image forming means to form a plurality of toner patterns for gloss detection on a recording material by imparting mutually different amounts of a glossing agent by the glossing agent imparting means, allows the gloss detecting means to detect glosses of the plurality of toner patterns for gloss detection after allowing the fixing means to perform a fixing process on the plurality of toner patterns for gloss detection, and change the imparting amount of the glossing agent based upon a gloss detection result thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
