发明名称 Accouplement à commande motorisée pour tuyau à bride.
摘要 1,207,943. Pipe couplings. FMC CORP. 18 Feb., 1969 [23 Feb., 1968], No. 8669/69. Heading F2G. A coupling, e.g. for connecting a loading arm to the manifold of a cargo ship and for transferring liquid cargo to or from the ship, comprises a tubular coupling member 36, a coupling flange 46 having a planar end face 47, a mounting ring 60 axially and rotatably movable on the member 36, a flexible spring plate 66 encircling the member 36 and mounted for relative rotation on the ring 60, means such as a locking member 84 extending between clamp mounting plates 90 and secured to the member 36 and for preventing rotational movement of the plate 66 relative to the member 36, and cam means 150 responsive to relative rotational movement between the ring 60 and the flange 46 to regulate the interspacing of the flange and the ring. There are also a plurality of articulated clamps 52 mounted on the plate 66 and which are movable between open and closed positions and having clamping surfaces arranged to confront the face 47 of the flange 46 in the closed position thereof, the spacing of the clamping surfaces and flange face 47 being adjustable by the cam means 150 to grip a pipe flange 48 of predetermined nominal thickness, variations in the thickness being accommodated by the flexure of the plate 66. As shown, the coupling includes a swivel elbow 32 rotatably mounting the member 36 on to which is screwed the flange 46 and which, to facilitate concentric alignment of the flange 46 with the flange 48 includes a tubular guide nose 55 fixed thereto by a bayonet form of joint. The ring 60 includes an anti-friction bearing ring 62, a radially projecting handle 82 in order to rotate the ring on the member 36, and a groove 64 for axially positioning the spring plate 66 which carries the mounting plates 90 of the clamp assemblies 52, the plates 90 being interconnected by a tie-bar 96, a pivot shaft 98 extending through pivot plates 104 and a pivot shaft 100 on which swings a clamp arm 102 indirectly actuated by the plates 104; the latter carry a pivot stud 106 secured in a toggle link 108 mounted on a pivot shaft 110. Power means for moving the plates 104 comprise doubleacting hydraulic cylinders 112 on trunnions 114 and piston-rods 116 engaged in a tie-rod 118 mounted in the plates 104. The tie bar 96 lies beneath the rod 118 to limit clockwise pivotal movement of the plates 104 about the shaft 98 and extension of the rod 116. The plates 104 have locking edge portions 128 which, when the clamp assemblies are closed, contact the pads 124 of the clamp arms 102. When each of the clamp assemblies 52 is in the closed clamping positions thereof an overcentre or toggle action condition exists since the axis of the shaft 110 lies outwardly beyond the plane 130, bisecting the shaft 98 and stud 106 so that although the cylinder 112 may be de-energized forces tending to axially separate the flanges 46, 48 tend to pivot the inner end of the link 108 outward about the axis of the stud 106; the link 108 is stopped in the over-centre position by stop blocks 132 attached to the plates 104 and one of which has a socket to receive a handle, whereby the clamp assembly can be manually actuated. The cams 150 secured to the flange 46 have two operative surfaces, i.e. one end of each cam is thinner than the other end, Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown), and co-operate with complementary recesses on the ring 60 so that when the handle 82 is raised to the upper limit of movement thereof the ring 60 is spaced from the flange 46 a distance corresponding to the thickness of the thin ends of the cams 150 and the clamp pads 124 are placed a maximum distance from the flange 46 to accommodate one of the thickest flanges 48; by moving the handle to the lower limit thereof, the ring 60 engages the thick ends of the cams to bring the pads 124 to a position whereby one of the thinnest pipe flanges 48 is accommodated. In either adjusted position of the clamp assemblies 52, a slight flexure of the plate 66 occurs so that after de-energizing of the cylinders 112 the force of the spring maintains a clamping pressure. In a modification, rotation of the ring 60 is effected by an hydraulically actuated power cylinder, Fig. 11 (not shown), connected to the clamp mounting plates 90.
