发明名称 SEAT PARTICULARLY FORL MOTOR VEHICLES
摘要 1475799 Fatigue counteracting seat A BECK 29 July 1974 [1 Aug 1973 26 April 1974] 33351/74 Headings A4J and A4M [Also in Divisions A3 and A5] A seat changes its contours at predetermined intervals to counteract fatigue in the occupants back, the occupant being retained in contact with the seat back by a shoulder strap. The contours are preferably changed by inflation and deflation of hollow bodies in the seat and backrest, the shoulders being restrained or pulled back by straps or by U-shaped members fitting over the shoulder. In one form the source of fluid-pressure is supplied to the hollow bodies via a first valving device and exhausted via a second valving device, the valving devices being electrically controlled by a sequence controller programmed by a card. The frequency and amplitude of the deformations may be variable by manned controls on the sequencer. The inflatable bodies and straps or shoulder retainers may be provided with sensors which feedback to the controller to limit the forces applied. When shoulder straps are used the lower ends may be incorporated in a lap strap, which lap strap has a reinforced central portion to maintain the separation of the lower ends of the shoulder straps. OPERATION The sequence of events may be as follows:- (a) forward movement of lumbar and central thorax in conjunction with pulling back the shoulders; followed by relaxation to non deformed state of chair; followed by raising of thighs and backward movement of pelvis; followed by relaxation to non deformed state, or (b) forward movement of lumbar region; relaxation; forward movement of central thorax with shoulders beginning to be pulled back as thorax pressure is relieved, shoulders pushed forward by pads as shoulder tension is relieved; relaxation, or (c) forward movement of lumbar region; relaxation; forward movement of central thorax with simultaneous backpulling of shoulders; relaxation; forward movement of shoulders; relaxation. The seat is particularly suited to use in vehicles to counteract driver fatigue.
