The silo hopper is fitted with a transverse perforated tube (11). The tube is fitted in a bracket (12) so that it can be moved upwards or downwards or sideways. The perforated tube has a nest of air tubes so that the air supply is evenly distributed in the silo. The tube is also connected to a distribution box (24) which includes the control system for the air supply. A secondary air supply is fitted at the discharge flange. An alternative arrangement has hydraulically operated jacks to control the movement of the air tubes.
