PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified ethylene polymer excellent in adhesion to a metal or a polar material without having problems with production in a modifying process by grafting a polar monomer into a specific single ethylene or a specific copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin. SOLUTION: This modified ethylene polymer is obtained by grafting the polar monomer into the ethylene polymer which is the single ethylene polymer or the copolymer of ethylene and the α-olefin having 3-20 number of carbon atoms and satisfies the following relationships: (A) melt index is 0.3-20 g/10 min at 190 deg.C under 2.16 kg road; (B) density is >=0.920 g/cm3; (C) molecular- weight distribution measured by a gel permeation chromatography is 3-4.5; and (D) the amount of terminal vinyl group in the polymer is <0.005 based on 1,000 carbon atoms. |
