Track link connection for tracked vehicle - includes cross pins with ends clamped by clips to prevent overload

A tracked vehicle has track links made up of pairs of blocks (1) with connecting pins (13) passing through them to give a resilient sideways support to prevent breakage due to overload. These pins are at right angles to the direction of travel of the vehicle, and the blocks are supported sideways by ribs which span ridges. The pins are retained against sideways sliding by clips (3) around each end. The pins have flats (15) each end which fit against corresponding flat faces inside the clips, the latter faces cloping at an angle to the centre line between two pins. They are retained by a clamping action.
