<p>Copolymer comprises 99-75 mole-%, pref. 98-90 mole-%, ethylene and 1-25 mole-%, pref. 2-10 mole-%, of an alpha, beta-ethylemically unsatd. carboxylic acid, specifically (meth)-acrylic acid, fumaric acid, itaconic acid or maleic acid. Distribution of the acid gps. is in the ratio of the moment of the first plus order to the reciprocal of the moment of the first minus order ranges from 0.50-0.95, pref. 0.60-0.90. At least 10% of the acid is neutralised with a metal ion, pref. a sodium, potassium or lithium ion, and/or an ammonium ion. Dispersion obtd. from the copolymer has good film-forming property. Pref. 20-50% of the acid is neutralised with sodium: >=20% with ammonium; or 1-20% with sodium ion and 9.99% with ammonium ion.</p> |
