The atomised-water dispersing device comprises a cylindrical casing (1) having a rear opening through which air is sucked by a centrifugal impeller (4) driven by a motor (5). The impeller is integral with a surrounding annular deflector (6) which has a periphery to obstruct radial departure of the air. The periphery directs the air axially towards an annular passage (7) formed between the casing (1) and a further casing (8) housing the motor. The deflector width corresponds to that of the blades, but is of larger dia. The passage (7) has a section corresp. to that of a crown (16) defined by the deflector around the impeller.
