In compressors, in particular in single-cylinder reciprocating compressors, the stroke movements of the piston cause pulsations in the crankcase, which are generated by the excess pressure produced during the downward movement of the piston in the crankcase. In order to prevent this, it is known to arrange vent ducts which connect the crankcase to the intake chamber. Since, owing to the negative pressure, oil constituents may reach the intake chamber through the vent ducts, ducts have been provided according to the invention, which allow the oil to flow back into the crankcase.
