The hydraulic adjustment device of the loading ramp is designed in such a way that it automatically follows raising of the loading surface of a lorry during unloading. To this end, the lower step bearing (33) of the hydraulic cylinder (31) is designed in such a way that a leaf spring (40) actuates an electric switch (42) when the cylinder is raised from its bearing. Actuation of this switch causes hydraulic oil to run through the flexible tube (36) until the cylinder once again rests on its bearing. <IMAGE>
