Illuminating device (10) in the shape of a fish, produced from a cattle horn (11) on the horn tip (17) of which a tail fin (18) is mounted and on the horn opening (12) of which spherical triangular incisions (13) are provided opposite one another. The rims of the spherical triangular incisions (13) are provided with teeth (14). The body (24) of the horn is provided on the underside with ventral fins (21) and anal fins (20), on the side with pectoral fins (19), and on the top with a dorsal fin (22). The entire outer surface of the body (24) of the horn is covered with a multiplicity of scale-like incisions (23). A light source (25) which can be supplied with current via a power cable (27) is provided in the opening (12) of the horn.
