PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a magnetic bearing by providing a pair of magnetic radial bearings, a pair of magnetic axial bearings and three pairs of control circuits to actively control and constrain degree of freedom. CONSTITUTION:A radial bearing 1 is adapted to stably pull buck a rotor to a radial balance point by detecting displacement by a radial displacement sensor 3, and driving a radial electromagnet 6 in response to the detection signal through a control circuit 4 and an electromagnet driving circuit 5. The radial bearing 1 is adapted to stably pull back the rotor to an axial balance point by detecting displacement by an axial displacement sensor 8 and driving an axial electromagnet 11 in response to the detection signal through a control cicuit 9 and an electromagnet driving circuit 10. In this arrangement, a close loop of two radial bearings and one axial bearing can actively control and constrain degree of freedom. Thus, a control loop for actively controlling is formed by three bearings to simplify the structure and attain the reduction of size and high reliability. |
