PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism of a cleaning device and to reduce the size and weight by providing simultaneously a rotating brush having the same potential with an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body to the cleaning device body. CONSTITUTION:Residual magnetic toner T on the surface of the photosensitive drum D after transfer changes to the polarity (-) of the electrostatic latent image by the discharging of a transfer corotron. When the surface of the drum D rotates to reach a destaticizing corotron position together with the toner T, positively discharging is carried out to weaken charges. The toner T which decreases in sticking force is dispersed over the surface of the drum D at the position of a rotating brush 17 by brushing operation. The brush 17 is electrostatically charged negatively to hardly stick the toner T, so a recovery device is unnecessary and the toner T neither falls nor scatters from the brush 17. |
