PURPOSE:To prevent coming off of an active material by burying the joining part of the lower sheath of a clad type chathode plate and its tube in a gel- like material. CONSTITUTION:A support 7 is placed in a container. A specified amount of viscus gel-like material prepared by adding water to ''Aerosil'' and adding polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion to these mixture and mixing them is poured in the support 7. Preferably, 80-90pts. ''Aerosil'' and 10-20pts. polytetrafluoroethylene are mixed. An electrode group comprising clad type cathode plates 1, paste type anode plates 3, and separators 5 are stacked with spacers 8, and they are accommodted in the container 6. Thereby, the gel-like material 9 is filled to around the upper edge of a dish 11 of the support 7, and the joining part of the lower sheath 12 of the cathode plate 1 and a tube 13 is buried in the gel- like material 9. |
