PURPOSE:To automatically carry out a steel plate piling-up process including the step of removing defective steel plates to aim at speeding up the piling process, by lifting up a steel plate conveyed on a conveyor table with the use of electromagnets so that the thus lifted-up steel plate is piled on a steel plate which is introduced. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate piling-up device 10 lowers a movable beam 14 by means of wind-up motors 13 so that electromagnets 15 attract a steel plate 20 conveyed on a conveyor table 16, and then elevates the movable beam 14 to lift up the steel plate. Then the lifted-up steel plate is lowered and piled on a succeeding steel plate 21 which is introduced into the device 10, and the thus two steel plates 20 are lifted up together to enable a third steel to be introduced. The similar steps as mentioned above are thereafter repeated to pile up a plurality of steel plates. In this arrangement there is provided a data processor 31 which receives data concerning whether each steel plate is defective or not, and so forth, from a computer 30 and issues a control signal. However, control is made to allow a steel plate to pass while a preceding steel plate is left to be lifted up when no piling-up is carried out or the steel plate is fed forward. |
