If concrete ceilings (1) are to be connected to walls (2) while maintaining between them expansion joints, dowels (4) have to be inserted. As the steel pins (5) and the bushings (6) have a round cross-section and as they can transmit without causing damages nothing but relatively small loads to the concrete surrounding them, the steel pins (5) as well as the bushings (6) are interconnected by junction plates (7, 8), thereby implying an increase of the bearing surfaces. Important loads may thereby be transmitted without damages to the concrete elements through a dowel (4). A front plate (9) connected to the sleeves (6) further facilitates the mounting of the dowel (4) in the cofferings by enabling its nailing to the latter.
