PURPOSE:To produce an electrical steel sheet having excellent tensile strength and wear resistance by hot rolling a low carbon steel slab under specific conditions and coiling the sheet and suppressing the P segregation to the crystal grain boundary, then subjecting the steel sheet to cold rolling followed by final annealing. CONSTITUTION:The steel slab contg., by weight %, <0.01% C, 2.0-3.5% Si, 0.1-10.0% Mn, 0.10-1.50% Al, and <0.008% B or further <6.0% Ni is hot rolled and is cooled at >=1,000 deg.C/min average cooling rate from the hot finish rolling to the coiling, then the sheet is coiled at 550-650 deg.C. The segregation of P at the crystal grain boundary of the steel sheet is suppressed by cooling this sheet at >=100 deg.C/sec average cooling rate down to at least 300 deg.C and thereafter, the sheet is held without annealing or is annealed for 5sec-15min at 580-1,000 deg.C. This steel sheet is cold rolled to form the steel sheet having the final sheet thickness, following which the steel sheet is annealed for 5sec-15min at 700-900 deg.C. |
