PURPOSE:To equalize the temperature in a plate width direction by equipping a burner which heats the positions of the steel upper and lower faces of the end part side face inside of a steel on an upper body and lower body and equipping a suction device which sucks the combustion gas of the burner in the direction of a longitudinal body through a porous solid body located between the longitudinal body and steel. CONSTITUTION:The edge part of a steel 1 is heated at its end part side face by the radiant heat by the combustion gas of the burner 7 provided on an upper body 3 and lower body 4. The combustion gas of after heating the upper and lower faces is sucked to a combustion gas exhaust passage 11 through a porous solid body 18 by a suction device 20. The steel 1 receives heating from the end part side face as well by the radiant heat, its temperature rises and the temperature in the width direction is equalized. The combustion gas sucked to the combustion gas exhaust passage 11 through the porous solid body 18 is subjected to heat exchanging with air in the case of its passing through the combustion gas exhaust passage 11. The air for combustion can thus be preheated and the efficiency in heating can be improved. |
