PURPOSE:To realize highly accurate correction of density level based on correction of resistance ad actually printed data. CONSTITUTION:A resistance measuring means 23 measures the resistance of heating elements in a thermal head 33, resistance correcting means 21, 22 operate correction data for making constant the applying energy according to the resistance for each dot measured by the resistance measuring means 23, and the driving signal for the thermal head 33 is corrected according to thus operated correction data. A preset print pattern is then printed and reflectance is measured for each region smaller than the dot area of the heating element in the thermal head. A correction data calculating means calculates correction data according to a preset formula, a density level fluctuation correcting means corrects the driving signal for the thermal head based on thus calculated correction data, and a recording meters records thus corrected driving signal. |
