<p>PURPOSE:To perform separating operation in a state to adjust a separation pressure to a proper value, to increase a kind of a sheet capable of being fed, and to improve operability of a machine by reducing a separating pressure, by means of which a sheet is pressed against a sheet feed roller, and effecting refeed when the non-feed of a sheet occurs. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 3 is brought into pressure contact with a sheet feed roller 5 rotated in a sheet feed direction to feed a sheet. Since fed sheets are separated into one sheet at a time for a feed, a separation pressurizing means 24 to exert a separating pressure on the sheet feed roller 5 side through the sheet 3 is provide. A separating pressure reducing mechanism 30 to reduce a separating pressure and effect a re-feed when no sheet is fed though the sheet feed roller 5 is rotated is located in the vicinity of the separation pressurizing means 24. Namely, by reducing the separating pressure, by means of which a sheet is pressed against the sheet feed roller, and effecting a re-feed, the separating pressure is adjusted to a proper value to perform separating operation, a kind of a sheet capable of being fed is increased, and besides operability of a machine is improved.</p> |
