PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency at the time of connecting and installing plural housing means by generating a command to move the specific housing step of the housing means to an arbitrary position while image formation is not executed. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary pin position is set by the predetermined key operation of the operating section of a main body. The request for moving a pin unit 403 to its home position is transmitted to a sorter 400 by the serial communication between the main body and the sorter 400 if there is the request for starting the pin movement by the predetermined key operation. The number of the assigned pins is transmitted to the sorter 400 upon detection that the operation is in the standy state to the next operation after the completion of the operation and thereafter, a sorter start-on signal is transmitted to the sorter 400. The sorter 400 starts the movement of the pin unit 403 to the assigned pin unit by this signal. A sorter start-off signal is transmitted to the sorter 400 when the main body detects that the movement of the pin unit 403 of the sorter 400 is completed. |
