PURPOSE:To attain reduction in size and weight and the improvement of producibility by composing an exposing unit of an end surface light emission type EL element, and the destaticizing lamp of an image printing part and the illuminating lamp of an image reading part of the EL element, as well, to use a driving power source in common. CONSTITUTION:An end surface light emission type EL printer 45 has structure so as to dispose a toner cleaner 28, a destaticizing lamp 46, an electrifying charger 31, a line head 20 as the exposing unit, a developing unit 32, a transfer charger 33, etc., in locations opposite to the periphery of a photosensitive drum 28, and further, form a carrying path 35 for a printing paper 34. The light emitting action of the line head 20 is controlled by a block driver 27 and a common driver 22, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the periphery of the photosensitive drum 28 uniformly destaticized by the destaticizing lamp 46, and then, electrified by the applied voltage of the electrifying charger 31. This latent image is developed with the toner of the developing unit 32 and transferred on the printing paper 34. Then, the common driver 22 in common with the line head 20, as a driving source, is connected to the destaticizing lamp 46, as well, and an exclusive driving source is not required. |
