PURPOSE:To improve the S/N of a processing output signal by suppressing noise invaded when a color signal representing color picture data is processed. CONSTITUTION:In an RGB-YUV converter comprising conversion tables 202-1-202-k integrated in a picture processing unit such as a color printer, an adder 205 and a rounding processing circuit 206, each of the conversion tables 202-1-202-k is provided with an adder section 11 between a multiplier section 10 and a round processing section 12 to correct an error caused in a rounding processing circuit 206 of a poststage.
