PURPOSE:To control the electric potential of a stainless steel pipe even if a large electric current flows in a capillary, permit the stable electrostatic spray, and observe ions in a stable manner. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel pipe 10 is held at the electric potential of several kilo volts by the electric potential reduction due to the impedance of a load 16a and the electric current I2 which flows in the load 16a. A high voltage is applied to one edge of a capillary 2 by an electric power source 14 for electrophoresis. A sample introduced into the capillary 2 is subjected to electrophoresis-process, and then shifted to the other edge of the capillary 2. At the other edge of the capillary 2, the sample is mixed with sheath flow, and sprayed in a electrostatical manner toward a counter electrode 11 by a spray thin pipe 10. |
