PURPOSE:To easily detect the error of transmission by operating an decoding while checking the matching of the number of significant blocks with the number of blocks corresponding to the assigned result of a significant block data code, and storing it in a buffer memory. CONSTITUTION:Data 212 are processed by a head detection frame resolving circuit 119, separated only into encoded information, the combination and continuous number of significant/insignificant identification signals of one entire video frame are decoded by a significance/insignificance decoder 120, and stored in a buffer 122. Next, the significant blocks are decoded by a decoder 121 only in the number of the significant blocks of one entire video frame searched by the decoding of the significant/insignificant identification information, and stored in a buffer 123. When a specific code 213 is detected, a reception is ended. Thus, the generation of the error of the transmission can be known by confirming the matching of the number of significant blocks with the number of the significant blocks known by the significant block encoded data. |
