PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive recording material, which satisfies simultaneously with both an excellent coloring sensitivity and the storage stability of a recording body. SOLUTION: The recording layer of the heat sensitive recording material includes a developer, which is the esterification reaction product of a carboxylic acid component A having an essential component of a (poly)4-hydroxybenzoic acid represented by general formula I, wherein p is an integer from 0 through 2, and a multihydric alcohol component B having an essential component of trihydric or more multihydric alcohol, and a sensitizer of a terephthalate ester compound represented by general formula II, wherein R represents a 1 to 22C alkyl group or an alkyl group with a hydroxyl group. |
