PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material with high color developing sensitivity and with extremely small discoloration of non color-developed part when fixing is performed by light by incorporating an oxidative color developing leuco dye, an oxidant and a photo-reducing agent in a heat-sensitive color developing layer in the heat-sensitive recording material provided with the heat-sensitive color develop ing layer which is color-developed by heating on a substrate. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive recording material is prepd. by providing a heat- sensitive color developing layer wherein a color developing substance, a color developing agent and an adhesive are main components on a substrate and these color developing substance and color developing agent are reacted together by heating to obtain a color developing recording image. In this case, an oxidative color developing leuco dye, an oxidant and a photo-reducing agent are incorporated in the heat-sensitive color developing layer. In addition, the photo-reducing agent is encapsalated in microcapsules and furthermore, the oxidative color developing leuco dye and one of the oxidant are encapsulated in microcapsules. As the oxidative color developing leuco dye, a compd. selected from compd. I and II is used and in the formulas, R<1> is a hydrogen atom, a chain-like alkyl, a cyclic alkyl etc., and X<1> -X<8> are respectively a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, etc. |
