A coater blade mounting has a holder batten (1) for securing the blade (3) and at least one guide batten (2). For attaching the guide batten the holder batten has at least one component (4) having a shape which can deform, recover and match the shape of a guide batten in such a way that it can snap into or on the guide batten or be released. Preferably the deformable component has a recess with an inner contour matching the outer of one guide batten, at least part being capable of gripping round by the component from behind to oppose the tendency to spring out.
