Pedal simulator especially for vehicle braking system

The pedal simulator includes a housing (13), with a recess closed at one end or one side. A movable fluid piston (26) is received in the recess, and sealed tight with the recess wall. A chamber of variable volume is formed with a predetermined volume between the closed end and the piston. The fluid piston is provided for bringing a vehicle braking system from one first position into a second position when operating the brake pedal (22). The gas volume is compressed, which exerts a non linear progressively rising reaction force on the fluid piston.
