Tubular circular knitted fabrics with straight helical reinforcing threads

Tubular circular knitted fabrics have straight yarns incorporated into the fabric at various angles to the tube axis. The yarns are supplied from bobbins (1) mounted on separately driven discs (2, 3) with controlled rotation to produce one or more yarn layers. The knitting needles can operate parallel or perpendicularly to the tube axis. Different stitch patterns to incorporate the straight yarns are produced by controlled yarn guides.
