The switching device system with a number of switching devices (10) has a termination and distribution unit (16) for each of the latter, provided with a distributor rail section for connecting the respective switching device to the energy supply. The distributor rail sections are coupled together, e.g. via plug-fit connections, to provide a common distributor rail, coupled to each termination and distribution unit via at least one respective terminal clamp.
