The system includes a compressor (4) for the gaseous phase and a pump (3) for the liquid phase. These share a rotating shaft (A) and are in the same casing (1), separated by seals (5). The system is connected to a regulator controlling the liquid level in a separator (2). The separator is fixed to the casing or integral with it. The regulator controls the flow of liquid and/or gas from the separator as a function of the level of the gas-liquid interface therein, and comprises a valve assembly and pipes, a level detector and means of treating the data. The separator is a static separator, including a helical pipe, a first compression stage to separate droplets from the gas, a number of disks mounted on the rotating shaft which extends through at least part of the separator and a cyclonic separator.
