Deformability and height adjustment of the cushion can be altered stepwise using a number of parts which partly or wholly comprise a biodegradable material. Independent claims are also included for (a) the use of chaff from German wheat as a filling material for orthopedic cushions, and (b) the use of these cushions for patients allergic to dust mites.
