PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for an image forming device capable of accurately detecting the presence or absence of toner. SOLUTION: As for the developing device 10 for the image forming device 2 for supplying the toner T to a photoreceptor 4 with an electrostatic latent image formed and developing the electrostatic latent image, the developing device is constituted of toner storing parts 100 and 500 for storing the toner T, a pair of projecting parts 301 and 302 arranged at a prescribed interval on the base parts of the toner storing parts 100 and 500 while projecting toward the inside of the toner storing parts 100 and 500, a toner presence/absence detecting means 400 for detecting the presence or absence of the toner in the gap part between the pair of projecting parts 301 and 302, a 1st cleaning member 205a which intermittently enters the gap part between the pair of projecting parts 301 and 302 so as to prevent the aggregation of the toner T in the gap part, and 2nd cleaning members 201a and 202a which intermittently reach both external parts 305 and 306 of the pair of projecting parts 301 and 302 so as to prevent the aggregation of the toner T in both external parts 305 and 306. |
