PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment device of a fuel cell power generating device and its operating method capable of realizing the water self-supply by effectively utilizing the concentrated drainage of an electric deionizing device, properly supplying pure water when the recovered water is temporarily run short, and inexpensively operating and maintaining the device with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This device has a concentrated drainage return piping 52 for circulating the concentrated drainage discharged from an electric deionizing device 10 to an overflow piping 8 in a recovered water tank 7. An ion-exchange water purifying device 12 is mounted in parallel with the electric deionizing device 10, and a conductivity meter 13 for measuring the conductivity of the recovered water, and a controller 33 and a switching valve 14 for stopping the operation of the electric deionizing device when the quality of water is lowered and the conductivity comes to a predetermined value, and switching to the operation of the ion-exchange water purifying device are mounted. |
