PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce each language resource file capacity needed for each language printer driver environment construction to be provided to each printer. SOLUTION: When a printer driver is read from an FD(floppy disk) 126 consisting of the source of a resource file for preparing a resource file constituted for each language, a character string file and a printing control program and is installed, the contents of the FD 126 are once copied to an HD(hard disk) 121, and a resource file for each language to be installed is prepared by a CPU 130 from a language and a font size to be selected by a user based on a copied resource preparation program and is registered with the operating system of a memory 110.
