PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the printing quality of data imprinting between perforations and to easily change a parameter related on an imprinting action as a camera with a data imprinting function. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with a data imprinting means for imprinting characters forming the prescribed data in the traveling direction of a film in a column unit, a means for measuring the traveling speed of the film, and a means for calculating and controlling the imprinting start position of the data based on the reference delay time of optionally decided reference film speed and the measured traveling speed of the film, calculating the width of the data in the traveling direction of the film based on a reference cycle obtained by deciding the imprinting cycle of the data based on the reference film speed and the measured film speed and controlling the imprinting start position of the data by the data imprinting means and the imprinting cycle of the data imprinting means based on the calculated results.
