<p>The preservation of silage depends on the controlled fermentation of the green forage. Precise regulation of air supply and temperature is of great importance for the production of the most nutritious feed. The forage is inserted into the device (1) and compressed by a pressure plate (4). Recesses are shaped into the bale (5) by elevated areas (6,7,8,9,10,11) positioned alongside the inner surface of the device. When the bales (5) are stacked, the resulting ventilation areas between the individual units facilitate an adequate fermentation process.</p> |
