CRUDE PIGMENT AND CRUDE PIGMENT DISPERSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crude pigment capable of being dispersed in a medium to be colored with a weak dispersion force and forming yellow images more excellent in transparency and a crude pigment dispersion more excellent in transparency and coloring ability. SOLUTION: This crude pigment mainly comprises a compound having the same chemical structure as C. I. Pigment Yellow 180 characterized in having 20-100 m2/g BET specific surface area by nitrogen absorption method, <1.8/1.0 ratio of absolute intensities (h1/h2) in the X ray diffraction intensity at Bragg angle 2θ=17.5+0.2 (h1) over 2θ=18.2+0.2 (h2) in the powder X ray diffraction pattern by CuKαcharacteristic X ray. This crude pigment dispersion comprises the aforesaid crude pigment and a thermoplastic resin.
