PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise transaction intermediation system for realizing safety commercial transaction. SOLUTION: When auction merchandise is knocked down, an auction server transmits information on the merchandise, information on a seller, a contract price, etc., to an intermediation computer. The intermediation computer generates a transaction ID and transmits this to a seller terminal and a buyer terminal. The seller sends the merchandise with the transaction ID to an intermediator and the buyer transfers a charge to a financial facility designating the transaction ID. The intermediator inputs the transaction ID to the intermediation computer, accesses the information on the merchandise and the information on the seller and authenticates the merchandise. The intermediation computer receives transferring information from a financial facility computer, collates it with the contract price, etc., and authenticates the charge. The intermediation computer instructs the intermediator to send the merchandise to the buyer. The intermediator sends money to the seller when no complaint is made from the buyer within a prescribed period. |
