PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor thin film electrode using a specific organic coloring matter photosensitizer, a high efficiency coloring matter photosensitizing photoelectric conversion element, and a coloring matter photosensitizing electrochemical solar battery using this. SOLUTION: This thin film electrode is composed of a semiconductor sensitized with an organic coloring matter having structure represented by general formula (1).
