PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke which is capable of enlarging the area of a circuit board fixed on a deflection yoke without changing the specification of a coil winding machine, in addition, being assembled easily, and also provide an assembling method of the deflection yoke and a cathode-ray tube using the deflection yoke. SOLUTION: This deflection yoke comprises a deflection yoke body 11, a rear cover 31, a circuit board 51 fixed at prescribed positions on the outer diameter surface of the yoke body 11, connector members 52, 41 which are fixed on the rear cover 31 and the circuit board 51, and are interfitted with the circuit board 51 and convergence adjusting coil by mounting the rear cover 31 on the deflection yoke body 11 and thence connect the circuit board 51 to convergence adjusting coil electrically, holding means which restricts the circuit board 51 in a prescribed attitude with respect to the deflection yoke body 11 when the rear cover 31 is not mounted, and holding release means which releases the holding of the circuit board 51 in response to fixing action of the rear cover 31 to the deflection yoke 11 and modifies the attitude of the circuit board 51 so as to be possible interfitting with the connector members 52, 41.
