PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player which does not bring differences in the time required to play back disks under the influence of the positions of the disks placed in the player even in the random playback of many sheets of disks. SOLUTION: The disk changer type disk player which selects and plays back a desired disk from a plurality of disks, is provided with a turnable disk tray 11 on which a plurality of disks 12 is housed, a traverse unit 13 which takes the desired disk from the disk tray 11, and a search time acquiring means which acquires search time after the clamp of the desired disk by the traverse unit 13 until the payback of the disk.
