The arrangement (12,50) controls the movement between two components of a vehicle with a cylinder (40), a housing with a bore connected to a first region (16) and a piston (46) connected to a second region (14) and a valve for regulating the flow of an electro-rheological or magneto-rheological fluid between first and second chambers formed by the bore and piston by applying a field to change its viscosity. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for a vehicle with a component with a fixed region and a movable region and an energy management method.
